Solution to PS 7 #5
a) A260 is higher in single stranded DNA than in double stranded
DNA. Heating the DNA to 100 C denatured the DNA into single strands.
b) Sample I, because of quick cooling, did not completely form all possible
H-bonds (and double helix). Sample II, upon slow cooling, reformed
a double stranded helix of DNA.
