a)  The sequence of the replicated strands is read off the gel from bottom to top:

WT:                 5' CACGTGTTCTAACC 3'

MUTANT:      5' CACGTGTTTTAACC 3'

The sequence of the  original DNA was the compliment of these sequences, or:

WT:                5' GTGCACAAGATTGG 3'

MUTANT:     5' GTGCACAAAATTGG 3'
 
 

b) By comparing the sequences you can see that a G (in  red) in the wild type  has been repaced with an A (in red)  in the Mutant.  Note you can also deduce what the mutation  was  directly from the difference in patterns of bands on the gel ( shown below in red below).
