It was difficult getting everyone situated for a group shot - that's me in the lace gown. |
Lots of confusion - they liked sitting on the video screen...and notice the legs in the chair?? |
Well - this one will have to do but I don't know if Dr. Howard would appreciate it, It's not very dignified. |
Building SL skills: we were all focusing on Appearance, Inventory and Profile together. |
A visit to the sky pad last week - I have the BSC T-Shirt on here. |
They managed to sit but we need to get some animations with the correct sit targets in them. I'm having trouble getting the correct xyz and rotations for the sit targets. |
Technical/presentation skills: students posed their Avatars and then took screen shots of themselves in a pose. The completed avatar poses for Fashion CAD project participants can be seen at THIS LINK. |
I decided maybe if I gave them wings and gave myself the biggest pair things would calm down a bit. |
Uh oh looks like Fausto's wings are defective. |
After we created out first T-shirts in class and uploaded them we all flew over to the pose ball area to take some snapshots. |
Yikes! She's wearing the Devil Wings! |
Presentation skills/technical skills - Each student took a shot of their custom designed T-shirt and eliminated the background in Photoshop and then uploaded their poses into SL. There are some of their T-shirt poses are AT THIS LINK |
That's me in the rainbow wings - the big gold ones were just to bulky! I demonstrated in Sl how to rez a box make it transparent and place their T-shirt pose in the box. |
Here I am by 2 mannequin poses. Once they completed their mannequins the learned how to place their text on to a hover text over the mannequin and drag their T-shirt into the box and set it for anyone to copy. |
We learned how to type the text we want into a script. |
We learned how to drag items into the mannequin |
...and finally we learned how to set the permissions so anyone can copy/modify it. |
and finally after class ends..... |
To be continued... |
