Building the Fashion CAD show ramp in SL Second Life is an excellent educational tool to simulate Fashion Show production in a 3D virtual environment. It certainly is an ideal environment to learn stage setting, special effects and lighting. |
Getting the floating stage started for the Fashion CAD SL show |
Starting to set up the lighting |
Ramp is in position |
Wall of splashy water at the end, some plants on the main area and a curtain. |
Lets see - what else does it need to add more drama? |
How about some sparkley lights on the ramp? |
- and a nice BIG fire to enter through - remember avatars can do anything... |
Here's how it looks from behind the curtain. |
I decided to up the drama and changed the curtiain to match the sparkley floor ramp lighting. |
The view from the start point out toward the ramp. I added some tiny long light strobes along the ramp. |
The view from the end of the ramp looking at the start point. |
To be continued... |
The Virtual Fashion Project is is part of the BSC SL Campus Initaive sponsored by the SUNY Buffalo State Research Foundation. |
