Building the Fashion CAD show ramp in SL

Second Life is an excellent educational tool to simulate Fashion Show production in a 3D virtual environment. It certainly is an ideal environment to learn stage setting, special effects and lighting.

Getting the floating stage started for the Fashion CAD SL show

Starting to set up the lighting

Ramp is in position

Wall of splashy water at the end, some plants on the main area and a curtain.

Lets see - what else does it need to add more drama?

How about some sparkley lights on the ramp?

- and a nice BIG fire to enter through - remember avatars can do anything...

Here's how it looks from behind the curtain.

I decided to up the drama and changed the curtiain to match the sparkley floor ramp lighting.

The view from the start point out toward the ramp. I added some tiny long light strobes along the ramp.

The view from the end of the ramp looking at the start point.

To be continued...
