And the night rolls on...
the darkness surrounds my eyes
the blanket of snow clouds my vision
my thought take me back

Deep in my heart
a flame burns bright
a sign of the upcoming days
a life within a death

For a time or two I have thought
my mind in a deep whirl
the sound of happiness was there
and with luck it shall return

My eyes open again and I see
darkness still in my sight
but there is a light in the distance
